Conference Overview

Welcome to our 25th Annual Retirement Income Conference! For the first time, this highly regarded conference and annual meeting point for the industry will be a hybrid event. After a period of online only events, we look forward to welcoming you back in person and reconnecting the retirement income community, while also offering virtual attendance for those unable to be present.

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘A Flexible Approach’. Following the disruption of the last two years, the need for flexibility when developing and delivering sustainable income solutions has never been greater.

How will the pandemic and impending social care reform impact retirement savings and income?

How can the industry adjust to a changing landscape and meet the growing demand for flexible options?

This conference will provide expert analysis and debate on the latest developments and key issues facing the sector in light of market upheaval and in a post-pandemic era. We hope you will join us, whether in-person or virtually.

Please request the programme for further details.

The conference delivers an exceptional line-up of speakers, with an opening address from:

Andrew Kail
Chief Executive Officer – Retail Retirement
LEGAL & GENERAL

followed by senior representatives from:

THE PHOENIX GROUP
FINANCIAL CONDUCT AUTHORITY
AVIVA
ROYAL LONDON
7IM
HUB GROUP
RETIREMENT LINE
AON

The conference will be chaired by

Stephen Lowe
Group Communications Director
JUST GROUP

Please request the programme to see the full speaker line-up and the topics they will cover.

You can choose whether to join this event in-person or virtually. The conference will be filmed and streamed live via the Zoom webinar platform and delegates attending digitally will be able to join Q&A by submitting written questions via the Slido platform. The registration options are below:

If you have special dietary requirements (vegetarian, dairy free, no shell fish etc) we can cater for you if we know in advance. Please let us know via the ‘Additional Information’ section when registering or call us on 020 7582 6516.

What is Not Included
Travel to and from the venue and overnight accommodation if required is the responsibility of individual delegates and not included in the registration fee. If it is required it must be separately booked. Because prices charged by London hotels change almost daily we are unable to quote firm room rates. Apart from the anticipated occupancy levels on any specific date, rates vary according to when the booking is made. We are, however, able to make suggestions of nearby hotels worth considering. We shall be happy to assist with any queries if you call 020 7582 6516.

Westminster and City are pleased to be planning a return to in-person events. Conversations with previous speakers and delegates suggest many people are now comfortable with, and eager to return to, in-person attendance and we very much look forward to welcoming you all back.

The event will be run in line with Government rules and guidance and although the majority of restrictions have now been lifted, we will put in place certain additional measures to help keep all those attending safe and feeling comfortable.

In addition to enhanced cleaning and hygiene procedures at the venue, the conference rooms will be well ventilated and numbers limited to give attendees more space. Sanitising stations will be in place and handling of delegates badges etc kept to a minimum. We will also introduce a colour coded badge system so attendees can easily indicate their level of comfort around interactions with other people at the event. However, as things stand, we will not be requiring proof of double vaccination or a negative test.

We recognise that some people will not feel comfortable travelling to, and attending, an in-person event so to ensure everyone has an opportunity to view the conference sessions we are also offering the option to attend virtually (please see ‘Registration Options’).

We will, of course, keep our plans and procedures under review and adapt accordingly in line with developments and Government rules and guidance. The event will move to a virtual only format should circumstances dictate (and refunds provided in line with our terms). This page will be updated as necessary, and attendees informed of any significant changes prior to the event. Please see our Terms and Conditions when registering.

We would like to thank all those who have supported us, and continue to do so, through these challenging times. If you have any particular queries or requirements, please do get in touch.

Terms of Payment. The full fee becomes payable on registration and should be paid prior to the event. Terms of business are in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act.

Payment Methods.  The preferred method of payment is bank to bank transfer but we also accept card payments and cheques made payable to Westminster and City Programmes.

Cancellations, in writing only, received and acknowledged 14 clear days prior to an event are subject to a 10% cancellation fee. Registrations or cancellations made within the 14 day period prior to an event are payable in full.

Substitutions. There is no extra charge for substitutions as long as we are notified before the conference starts and any replacement is from the same company. Substitutions for part of the conference only are not possible.

No Sharing or Splitting. Each registration applies to one named person only. Registrations cannot be shared or split between different people even if they are present for different parts of the day.

Non-Appearance on the day is chargeable, whether or not the invoice has been paid.

Data Protection and Privacy. Personal data will be stored and used in line with our Privacy Policy. Please let us know if you do not wish to receive marketing information from us. Please note: the conference will be filmed, streamed and recorded.

Programme Changes. Every effort is made to keep to the published programme but occasionally changes to the speaker line-up, timetable, venue, digital platforms or format (in-person / virtual) are unavoidable. The right to change arrangements without liability is reserved and no liability is accepted for consequential loss.

COVID-19. Westminster and City’s events will take place in accordance with the rules and guidance set out by the UK Government and attendees will be bound by any individual requirements in force at the time the event is held (for example, in the event of a reintroduction of mandatory face coverings). We will communicate any specific conditions of entry in advance of the event. Overseas delegates are reminded to check any travel restrictions and requirements for entering the UK. If Westminster and City are required to, or deem it necessary to, cancel in-person attendance, in-person delegates will be refunded for the in-person ticket price and charged for virtual attendance. In the unlikely event that the entire event is cancelled, all delegates will be offered a full refund.
