Conference Overview

Registration is now open! This event has quickly sold out for the past three years running and we recommend booking early to be sure of your place.

2025 is shaping up to be another busy and fascinating year for the pension risk transfer market. Buy-in volumes are expected to remain robust. New entrants will bring additional capacity and competition. Further activity is anticipated in the alternative risk transfer space. Schemes will have more choice than ever before. The options and support available to members seems set to increase.

Regulation will again be a key theme with funded reinsurance, in particular, remaining under the spotlight. How pension policy develops, especially regarding surplus extraction, will be of keen interest. The buyout versus run-on debate will intensify. The buy-in to buyout bottleneck is a growing challenge.

The pension risk transfer market is at an intriguing stage, characterised by increased choice, continued growth, evolving dynamics, new challenges and innovative solutions. Join us in April – there is again much to discuss!

Please request the programme for further details.

The 2025 programme features twenty-one speakers who have not spoken at any of our previous bulk annuity conferences and seven who are making a welcome return. To have so many new speakers the twenty-second time we have held the event is testimony to the continued growth and vibrancy of the market. We are delighted to welcome representatives from:

What is Included

The Standard Delegate Registration, £1,520 + VAT for both days or £760 + VAT for one day, includes a seated served lunch, refreshments on arrival and during breaks, digital copies of the available presentations and, after the event, the conference recording.

The Multiple Delegate Registration, £1,420 + VAT each for both days or £710 + VAT each for one day, covers exactly the same as the standard ticket but at a reduced rate where three or more delegates from the same company are registered for the same ticket type (names may be advised later).

Lunch is included with all registrations and is an important part of the day’s networking. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements or food allergies/intolerances. The hotel requires prior notice of this, so we must receive all requirements by 8 April 2025. Please let us know via the ‘Additional Information’ section when registering or email admin@westminsterandcity.co.uk

All speakers and first day delegates are invited to a drinks reception after the conference sessions end on 29 April.

What is Not Included

Travel to and from the venue and overnight accommodation (if required) is the responsibility of individual delegates and not included in the registration fee.

Following registration, a VAT invoice will be sent to you with payment details. All delegates are required to pay VAT because the event is being held in the UK. The full fee becomes payable upon registration and must be paid prior to the event. The preferred method of payment is bank to bank transfer but we also accept card payments (not Amex). We reserve the right to decline registration submissions.

Written cancellations received and acknowledged by 8 April 2025 are subject to a 20% cancellation fee. Registrations made and/or cancelled after 8 April are payable in full. Non-appearance is chargeable. Full day substitutions from the same company are acceptable, but not part day substitutions. Registrations are for a whole day and cannot be shared or split between different people. We need to know the names and contact details of all delegates attending not less than five working days prior to the event.

Due to capacity limits, we regret that the drinks reception on 29 April is for Day 1 attendees only. The conference recording is a soundtrack of the available audio synchronised with the slides – it is for the individual use of attendees / purchasers and not intended for wider distribution or viewing without prior written agreement.

Every effort is made to keep to the published programme but occasionally changes to the speaker line-up, timetable, venue, date or format (in-person / virtual) are unavoidable. The right to change arrangements without liability is reserved. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel the conference, delegates will be offered a refund of the registration fee paid. No responsibility is accepted for interruption or consequential loss or errors or omissions.

Personal data will be stored and used in line with our Privacy Policy. Please let us know if you do not want to receive marketing information from us. Please note: we may photograph, film, live stream and record our events and subsequently share any footage, recordings and images with clients and use for promotional purposes.

Westminster and City do not permit sponsorship to influence the speaker line-up or content of our conferences but we do offer a variety of ways in which companies can showcase their brand, products and services to the distinguished and influential group of delegates who attend this event.

You can reach delegates who come from many parts of the world including, in recent years, the UK and Channel Islands, USA, Canada, Ireland, Germany, Holland, France, Switzerland, Bermuda, Barbados, Cayman Islands, South Africa, Australia and Hong Kong. Everybody attending has a deep interest in pension buy-ins and buyouts, longevity swaps and reinsurance and many regard this as the key event in the calendar – it is an opportunity not to be missed!

Promotional opportunities available include:

Drinks Reception Sponsorship
Exhibition Spaces
Company Profile on Conference Web Page
