Conference Overview

DB transfer enquiries soared following the onset of pension freedom. The numbers proceeding to transfer are now also showing significant increases over previous levels. Over the long term, it has been predicted that anywhere from 5-40% of members will transfer.

This presents huge opportunities but there are also challenges to overcome and risks to be managed to ensure the market evolves in a way that delivers positive outcomes for members, schemes and the pensions industry.

This conference will focus on the key issues and developments, including:

  • The evolving regulatory landscape including the impact of CP15/30
  • The Financial Ombudsman Service’s position and observations
  • The Incentive Exercises Monitoring Board’s new Code of Practice
  • Partial transfers, new solutions and new entrants
  • Fit for purpose transfer value analysis post pension freedom
  • Transacting with insistent clients
  • Product innovation and the risks to receiving providers

Attend this conference for the latest insights and to join the discussion on the way ahead for this exciting market.

The speaker line-up includes senior figures from a wide range of organisations, including:

Maggie Craig, Head of Pension Policy, FCA
Caroline Mitchell, Lead Ombudsman, FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN SERVICE
Jonathan Camfield, Partner, LANE CLARK & PEACOCK
